I’ve encountered similar levels of complexity and occasional frustration with the interfaces of recent Mercedes-Benz EVs. The proliferation of touch-sensitive buttons across brands like Volkswagen, Hyundai, and Kia has become a defining characteristic of modern vehicle interiors, often at the expense of tactile feedback and immediate, unambiguous operation. However, Ford’s decision to revert to a more conventional and user-friendly shifter design is indicative of a broader industry trend.
